The Law of Ueki
Ueki no Housuko, or The Law of Ueki is an anime/manga by Tsubasa Fukuchi.
Ueki Kousuke, a 13 year old middle school student, is given the power to change trash into trees by a God candidate Kobayashi (Koba-sen) in order to be able to participate into a tournament called the 'Battle Game' to determine the next God. Together with his companions/friends Mori Ai (a girl who since episode 1, has followed him around and sticked by his side), Sano Seiichiro (is in love with hot springs), Rinko Jerard (massive animal lover), Hideyoshi ("Mr. Tricky") and Tenko (a heavenly beast) they embark on a journey to rid the world of evil power users and make Kobayashi the next God.
